  If you have been a victim of fraud or Identity Theft we recommend you place a fraud alert on your credit file. You should also file a complaint with the Federal Trade Commission (FTC). The FTC website is a one-stop national resource to learn about the crime of identity theft. On this site, consumers can learn how to avoid identity theft and learn what to do if their identity is stolen. You can file a complaint with the FTC using the online complaint form at or call the FTC’s Identity Theft Hotline, toll free 1-800-ID-THEFT (438-4338)  
  By sharing your identity theft complaint with the FTC, you will provide important information that can help law enforcement officials across the nation track down identity thieves and stop them.
